Self Help Tips
In an effort to serve our clients and save unnecessary service fees, we have provided a few self-help tips to try before calling us (or any tech support). If you are having issues with your computer, ask yourself the following questions:
When was the last time you restarted your computer?
Sometimes systems can become unstable if they have not been restarted for an extended period of time. A restart will often fix most problems. Remember to save your work before you restart.
Have you added any new software and/or hardware?
Sometimes new software and/or hardware can conflict with stuff already on your system. Try removing the newly installed item(s) and see if the problem goes away.
Is this the first time this has happened?
Sometimes things happen for no apparent reason and will correct themselves after the first usage. If this happens more than once there’s a problem that needs to be addressed.
Always remember to check to be sure your computer is plugged into a power source, all cables are securely in place, and the power is on.
